Ducks at Kilspindie House originated in Edinburgh as ‘Ducks at Le March Noir’ and is now based in the picturesque coastal village of Aberlady.
Duck’s is an intimate and cosy dining experience, with ten tables, adorned with crisp white linen, candles and an open fire! This venue is perfect for a cosy evening to shut-off from the world outside or from your busy week. The service is friendly and professional, the wine list recognised by Wine Spectator Magazine and the food is simply delicious. They source the finest quality East Lothian ingredients and produce everything in-house. In addition, the menu changes with the seasons making best use of the great variety of local produce. Chef Alessandro Grillo is Italian and there’s a nod to his home-style throughout the menu. The carved beef is a firm favourite and is served very simply, dressed with rock salt and olive oil. Duck’s is also proud to be a ‘partner bar’ of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) – the world’s foremost, malt whisky club.
Duck’s have a simple code when it comes to cuisine and hospitality: fresh, flavoursome, home-made food, a warm welcome and a relaxing, enjoyable stay. They can also offer you an after-dinner-dram from their collection of over 70 malts, including a selection from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. What more could you wish for!
