Gleddoch Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the most scenic golf courses in the West of Scotland. While it is only twenty minutes away from the busy city centre of Glasgow, it is set in a stunning 360 acres of land with panoramic views across the Renfrewshire Hills and the River Clyde.
Originally the home of Shipping Baron Sir William Lithgow, the course designed by J. Hamilton Stutt, opened in 1974 as a 9 hole course and was quickly extended to 18 with the addition of what members now call “the top half”. The Championship layout, measuring an impressive 6283 yards, is a challenging mix of Parkland and Heathland with stunning views across the Clyde Estuary. This varied course will satisfy golfers of all standards and will make sure you get use out of every club in your bag!
This picturesque course, with its gently undulating fairways, large greens and real variety of holes will definitely impress. Should you venture into the clubhouse you are sure to receive a warm welcome or why not enjoy some refreshments at the 4 star Gleddoch hotel which has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment and provides first class service in beautiful surroundings.
Buggy, club and trolley hire available.
