Aberfoyle Golf Club
- Play a full round at a range of golf courses
- Choose your course style from Parkland to Links
- A great experience for any level of golfer
Aberfoyle Golf Club dates as far back as 1890 and was designed by James Braid, a well-known golf architect. It’s situated at the foot of Menteith Hill, on the southern border of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. It’s arguably one of the most scenic and interesting courses a golfer can play in Scotland. Boasting views over the Ben Lomond in the west and down the River Forth to Stirling Castle, a truly magnificent location.
The course has been designed to take full advantage of the natural contours the terrain offers, with 8 strategically placed bunkers to allow for trickier play. Players can expect to play a range of pars, with a total par-66 over the 5,158-yard course. The toughest hole on the course is ‘Alsheen’, not only is it the longest shot (417-yards) but it has a significant rise from tee to green. The course also hosts neat little holes, including the 4th, where players must aim their shot uphill to a green cut into the hillside.
The clubhouse is the perfect place to relax and unwind after players have conquered their round, where food and drink is served throughout the day.
