The Experience Ecosse arrive and Fly
Looking for something different to inspire your staff? Then look no further than this fantastic afternoon of awesome aviation! Come fly away with us and we’ll ensure you leave feeling refreshed and on top of the world (quite literally!).
The afternoon is based at Perth Airport or Cumbernauld Airport (North Glasgow). This is a high-paced environment where each participant will enjoy 3 different 20-minute flights souring to altitudes of 3000ft and speeds of 140mph, certainly not for the faint hearted or anyone with vertigo, come to mention it!
Each flight is a one-on-one flying lesson and each delegate will actually get their hands on the controls of the aircraft for a flying lesson, all under the safe supervision of our instructors.
At the airport
Both airports have excellent facilities including cafes, a restaurant, viewing areas and (at Perth) a hanger with over 70 aircraft that you can look round. These airports are amongst the largest ‘general aviation’ fields in the UK. Whilst waiting for the next flight, delegates can relax in the lounge or compete in the ‘Top Gun quiz, with a great Experience Ecosse voucher available for the winner. Each flight is show on the ‘Experience Ecosse departures board’.
Microlight flight
Our microlights are some of the most agile aircraft in the sky, flying at around 2000 foot and 120 mph. From here you will get amazing views across Perthshire, one of the most beautiful areas to fly in Scotland. Once safely cruising, each participant will be given the opportunity to take the controls and pilot the microlight. Turn, climb accelerate and decelerate the aircraft under the safe supervision of the pilot, who you can talk to through the aircrafts intercom system.
Light plane flight
Our light aircraft are state of the art training machines, designed to be easy to fly with great performance statistics. Stepping onboard the light aircraft, each participant will enjoy a trail lesson. This is a different form of flying again from the microlight with an enclosed cabin, fling higher and faster, at an altitude of 4000 and 140mph. Your pilot will be sitting right beside you and will explain all the controls before and during the flight.
Helicopter flight
Welcome onboard our four man helicopter, with it’s panoramic glass cabin and dual controls for a scenic tour. The pilot will demonstrate the handling of this agile aircraft before climbing to around 3000 feed for a tour of the area. See local landmarks from a completely new angle and see the world flying below as you experience the helicopter hover, bank and fly at speeds in excess of 100mph.
As an upgrade you can choose to allow the front passenger or all passengers to actually get their hands on the controls for one-on-one helicopter flying tuition in our 2 person aircraft.
Aerobatic stunt flight
Exchange or add to the aircraft experiences above for an aerobatic stunt flight in a specially built stunt plane. Experience loop-the-loops, dive bombs, G-forces and speeds like never before. The most amazing passenger available on Experience Ecosse!
Accommodation & conferencing
Cumbernauld airport and Perth airport have good hotels nearby offering full facilities. Preferential dinner bed and breakfast rates are available and conferencing facilities can also be arranged.
