This experience is out of this world and truly like no other! Step onboard a jet and go hunting for the Northern Lights with our incredible Northern Lights sightseeing tour.
At the start of this exciting evening, you will meet your fellow experience goers and be given an in-depth presentation as to what you can expect on this three-hour flight. The science behind this natural phenomenon is mind-boggling but nothing prepares you for the trip ahead!
As the sun sets, you’ll take off from either Edinburgh or Glasgow airport and fly north. Heading towards Iceland, the cabin lights will be dimmed for extra visibility, and you’ll fly in search of the Aurora Borealis’ spectacular light show! You will also enjoy an informative and inspiring presentation onboard, by at least one professional Astronomer.
The Aurora Borealis is an awe-inspiring light display that naturally occurs when the sun hurls solar flares, containing charged particles, millions of miles into space. When these particles meet Earth’s atmosphere, they collide with gases and create this stunning green glow! It is usually a vibrant green but you can also see the more rare colours of red and blue at times of very high activity.
As the flight returns to Scotland, you’ll step off the plane with memories to cherish for a lifetime! This unique trip is a fun and inspiring experience and one you will never forget!
*The Northern Lights is a natural occurrence and we are unable to guarantee activity, vibrancy or colour on the evening of the flight.*
