Flying from the airfield just next to the museum of flight near Haddington this trip is ideally located for those in eastern central Scotland. During your flight, you will experience for yourself the fantastic feeling of flying in one of these small and robust aircraft.
After a briefing on your flight and carrying out full pre-flight safety checks you’ll taxi out for take off. You’ll be able to hear your pilot talking to air traffic control and other aircraft in the area. Once you are airborne you’ll climb to over 2000 feet. Up here you’ll experience panoramic views across eastern Scotland and the Forth estuary.
During your flight you’ll have the opportunity to fly past the famous landmarks in the area including the Bass rock, Tantallan castle and the North Berwick. You'll be looking down on the countryside beneath watching cars on the A1 motorway and trains on the railway beside. Your pilot has your safety in mind at all times. You’ll experience first hand the microlight climbing, turning, cruising and descending.
You can take your camera on the flight as long as it has a strap that secures it round your neck. Neck straps can be supplied. Throughout your flight you will be able to talk to your pilot through the intercom system.
