About Your Experience
The Clyde islands have a magical feel to them, so what better way to see and visit them than by microlight.
This extended microlight flying trip is a great next step for those who have flown in a microlight before or looking to experience the thrill of microlighting in one of the most amazing flying regions in the Uk.
On this island land away experience you’ll be flying to the Isle of Bute from Strathaven, actually getting the opportunity to fly the plane for as much of the way as you want.
There can be few sights more spectacular than the Clyde coast and the islands from the air. En route to Bute you will fly over Cumbrae and Millport before landing at the airfield by Kilchattan Bay. At the end of the runway on Bute there is a perfect outline of the "sleeping giant"of Arran.
Once we land at Bute we will have a cup of tea or coffee and a snack before setting off for Strathaven again. If the weather permits, we may return via Helensburgh, Loch Lomond and Cumbernauld.
Overall, you'll spend more than two hours in the air, and we allow three hours for the whole trip.
