Woodland Survival Skills, Perthshire
- Get outward bound on this fun educational event
- Learn to cover your traces and set up camp from what nature provides
- Scout and Duke of Edinburgh award winning instructors
Ever wanted to become a skilled survival expert? This bushcraft experience is a fun, educational afternoon learning how to survive in the outdoors and respecting the environment around us.
For many of us we never get to appreciate the wonders that nature can provide and how easy it is to survive in the outdoors with little or no equipment. Just an hours drive from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh this bushcraft experience will give you a taste of how to create camp and survive in the wilderness.
You will get hands on with nature, building ‘no trace’ fires, setting up camp for the night, discovering edible and medicinal plants, learning how to use knifes and axes and when in season even preparing game and other foods. By the end of the experience you’ll have created your home from home using only what nature provides (with a few home comforts).
Ian Macfarlane is a seasoned outdoor expert who’s involvement with the Scouts, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and as an outdoor activities instructor makes him the perfect teacher for this fun, educational afternoon.
