This half day falconry experience will have you up close and personal with some of the most amazing birds of prey, both native to Scotland and from further afield.

Based near Dunblane in the beautiful Perthshire countryside you will be introduced to your instructor and the wide selection of birds that you’ll be flying. Your first task is learning to handle the tricky ‘Falconers Knot’ holder. Once you’ve mastered that you’ll then get the opportunity to handle one of the beautiful Harris Hawks.

The hawk walk is a formal falconry lesson where you and the instructor will go into great detail about how the birds are trained and handled. Then there will be a ‘free flying’ session where you will fly the birds yourself and experience first hand the magic of watching these birds of prey fly.

Once you’ve mastered ‘free flying’ you’ll be invited to fly a range of birds from hawks, owls and falcons. You will also have the opportunity to fly the golden eagle or bald eagle, a truly unique experience. As you practice holding and launching the birds the feeling is amazing and the memory will last forever.
